After 10 years, the Des Plaines River Valley Chapter of ARMA International, is still serving records and information professionals living and working between Chicago, Illinois and Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Our Chapter's name comes from the river which runs from Kenosha County in Wisconsin through Chicago's Northern and Western suburbs. We offer monthly meetings with some of the best speakers in the area to help keep us educated and informed in the latest Records Management techniques, technology, and theory.
The Des Plaines River Valley Chapter of ARMA International is focused on providing quality education to its members and friends! This is accomplished through monthly meetings and workshops. ARMA members also have the opportunity to attend the ARMA International Conference, held annually in the fall.

Kahn Consulting, Inc., and ARMA recently conducted a survey entitled “GRC, E-Discovery and RIM: State of the Industry.” The study confirmed the importance of RIM as a strategic initiative that every institution must undertake—as respondents indicated that only about 15% of employees understood their discovery obligations, while only 21% understood their records retention requirements. Please feel free to make the Kahn Survey available to your members. If you want to use the survey data in your Chapter newsletter, please contact Larry Wescott at lwescott@Kahnconsultinginc.com.
You can learn more about the survey at http://www.kahnconsultinginc.com/library/surveys.html.
